Growing up riding bikes in the Horowhenua, my biking career began racing mates down Trig road in Levin before building tracks, now often used for secondary school champs. I raced the national downhill series throughout my junior years taking out the junior title before moving to the elite ranks where I often placed top 10 and represented NZ in 4X at the World Champs in Scotland.
After moving to Queenstown in 2009, Kate and I did two European seasons living and travelling out of a van where I competed in the World Cup series and qualified to race my first World Cup final. I enjoy all aspects of riding bikes however my focus now is more on free riding and riding big jumps. The mountain bike industry has provided us with so many opportunities from fitness, business and travel and I am stoked with the support from Torpedo 7 who make this possible, not only for summer sports, but also the winter missions Queenstown offers.
