Good Value for the Price
Ben , Richmond
Not the sort of stand you'd see in the workshop of your bike shop, but they cost 3 times as much. This one is a bit fiddly to assemble, and I had to trim some plastic sleeves and add a few washers to make it all clamp properly, but at the end of the day it works well enough for a backyard mechanic. Its certainly very stable, too.

workstand
Carl Pay, Cooroy
Bit of a cheap and nasty, the quality was a bit disapointing, everything else I get from T7 has always been top notch, but it is definately better than working on the bike leaning against the wall. Have changed a few things myself and now it works better.

Sturdy, and better than trying to work without it
Rowan wan C, Berwick
This is a great first stand, and it is far better than working on the edge of a shelf, or constantly asking someone else to lift the bike while you adjust things. My two gripes with it are that a) the quick release on the main clamp is difficult to do up quickly while holding the bike at unusual angles (such as for brake bleeding), and b) the quick release on the horizontal bar is very difficult to do up tight enough to stop the bike swinging around to it's centre of gravity (which you don't want when bleeding brakes for example)

Good for the price
Gary ment, Helensburgh
It's sturdy and well made enough for me (home mechanic), as I won't be using it day in day out. As you'd expect, the clamp isn't great: lacks the 'throw' via the lever to be able to put the bike in without spinning the quick release spindle. You therefore have an awkward moment of holding the bike on position while youre spinning it so it will clamp up. Also, the quick release didn't even come close to holding the top bar of the stand (if you know what I mean: the bit with the clamp on it) such that the bike didn't simply droop to the ground/balance point. No amount of tightening this seemed to help, so I pulled the plastic sleeve out and had a friend run a couple of mig welds on it to pack it out so it was metal on metal- works fine now. No compliants though when the price is taken into account. Cheers.

Sturdy stand, needs some DIY Improvements
Andrew Clark, Winmalee
I got this stand on special and at this price it was great value. I honestly was not expecting too much for the price but this is a sturdy steel stand with folding legs locked in with removable pins. The weakness with the stand is the plastic shims used for locking the sliding upright and the head which need a bit of modification or extra rubber to make them hold position,(the plastic is a bit hard and slippery and both the head and upright slip). The head clamp itself is plastic and could also use a bit of rubber to hold the frame more securely with less force. The quick release on the head is not, and needs to be unscrewed a lot to get the frame through the jaws and then re-screwed before the Q/R can be tightened. This is fiddly and is the compromise of a cheap stand. The metal of the stand itself is strong with clean welds and looks like it will last, and the bike felt quite secure once everything was tightened. If you're prepared to fiddle and make a few DIY improvements to get something that works for a cheap price this is it. If not look elsewhere for a stand with a stronger and easier head clamp.
