Xterra S/S baselayer review
MattS., murray bridge Having only ever used a (now rather old) "Bonds" T shirt as a base layer (I'm not one to be too bothered by the local cold), I thought I'd join the 20th century (no, not a typo...) and try a XTERRA base layer.
Wore it with a long sleeve jersey recently for my early morning ride, ambient temp. Was no more than 2 degrees C at the start...was kept comfortably warm at the start and never felt cold at any stage.
I was initially skeptical due to the apparent delicacy of the fabric, but this item works and works well. I should be able to use nothing more than a thick short sleeve jersey and this base layer for the majority of my winter riding.
Four stars, because little in life is perfect, but this item is pretty close.
