Inspired and designed by WTB Pro cross country & Downhill racer Mark Weir, the design features a fast-rolling, soil piercing central tread that is ramped for low roll resistance and square edged for powerful braking.
Large transitional openings between knobs channel soil outward, enhancing traction as progressive staggered outside knobs provide maximum support in leans and corners.
Weir will tell you that many races are won and lost in the corners, so win by using the Weirwolf tyres.

Great tyre
MatthewMackay, RUNCORN These tyres are great. heaps of grip, even at wild angles. They roll well no worries there. They are no more difficult to get on and off then any other tyre. Different types of rims normally affect how difficult tyre replacement is.

Best MTB tyre I've used
MickCarthey, Glenmore Park So good, I bought another 4! On the front it provides maximum confidence to tackle anything, on the rears be it under brakes or ripping it hard up a hill they stick to the trail. Fast in a straight line, easily hit & maintain high 50's down the Oaks from the helipad (Sydney riders would know this) - great in corners, hanging on where I'd be convinced they have no right to.
But the biggest testament is when my riding buddies jump on & try them for the first time - a number of them are now using the Weirwolfs as their first tyre of choice.
As for being hard to get on/off (as in the other review), I've got two wheelsets I've used them on (standard Merida Alex rims & a set of Bontrager Tubeless Race Lites) and I've had no such trouble - in fact with a little effort I can get them on the Bontragers with just my hands & I've not heard any complaints from my riding mates who've used them either.
5 Stars - no question.

Will grip and grip and grip
EzraKeddell, PETONE Brilliant tyre that keeps on giving and hooks up on almost anything. Rolling resistance is minimal considering how this tyre attacks dirt. Easily my pick of any mtb tyres at the moment for all conditions.

Frustrating!!!
HarryKillalea, DRIVER Very quick delivery considering I live in Darwin. The only problem was getting the bloody thing on! After about 1 hour of swearing, throwing things, snapping the tyre levers I finally got it on, thanks to the good old Vaseline! I finally went to pump it up until I noticed a hissing sound... I pinched the tube! Eventually I patched the tube and put the bloody tyre back on and it runs smooth. It has very good grip on the loose gravel and hasn't slipped yet climbing a hill.
