TRANZX is a manufacturer of high end bike components, and produces a range of quality indoor trainers.
The JD113Q trainer uses Magnetic resistance allowing it to be smooth and very quiet. It is an excellent value, performance indoor trainer for those who are serious about stationary trainers. Ideal for working out at home or warming up before a race.
The JD-113Q indoor trainer does not feature adjustable resistance. The trainer is pre-set at medium/hard resistance.
A replacement quick release skewer is included allowing you to exchange your lightweight alloy skewer and prevent it from damage when using the trainer.
Features:
Suitability: Fits all road and mountain bikes (26", 700c & 28")
Resistance: Extremely Powerful Magnetic, smooth and quiet
Construction: Steel
Weight: 8.5kg
Colour: Red
Please note:
If your rear wheel is secured with a nut and not a quick release skewer then it is possible that the tyre will sit too far to the left of the roller and possibly touch the magneto housing. If this is the case you will need to space out the axle on the left side of the frame to centralise the wheel on the roller. Please contact customer services for further information.

Good for winter
RebeccaJenkins, Alexandra Good affordable trainer for those freezing, foggy winters. Great for interval training. When I changed MTB tyres to slicks, it made a massive difference to the noise level!

When it rains...
NicTatham, EMPIRE BAY Can't go wrong when on special - as it is (often). Very noisy though with MTB tyres (I use Crossmarks). Lack of resistance can be rectified a lot by tightening the roller bolts, but be warned, it'll remove tread as a result - best used with a slick(ish) tyre if possible...

Good Value
BrettBailey, Woodend Beach I found this unit easy to use. Noise is minimal with people watching TV in next room. Great workout if using higher gears. I am using a road bike and it's fine. First trainer I have used.

Excellent Value
IANTHOMPSON, Wanganui Great value for money, impressed with how quiet it is especially compared to my old one. Resistance is good, equal to road riding at 30km/hr flat road in same gear. Probably won't have enough resistance for efforts but if you are serious you do your efforts on the road, even if its raining.

Very Good
DamonWoods, Bryndwr Value for money, only downside that I can see is, if you're running an off road mountain bike tyre it gets very noisy (as expected) but the vibration causes the adjuster thread to unwind as it hasn't got a locking mechanism. But other than that very good solid construction.

Tranzx Trainer - JD113Q
GeorgeUdy, Thames After reading the previous reviews I had some concerns about the noise but I have found that the noise is very low level. Others can watch TV without the noise being intrusive.

Good Value
BerinMcLennan, Launceston I have found this to be a great value trainer. I understand the concerns about lack of resistance, especially with the lower gearing of a MTB, but I find it works perfectly for what I want to do (base training whilst waiting for my collarbone to heal) with a couple of gears to spare. Not too noisy in my situation but might be for folks living in apartments. Now if only I could overcome the boredom.

Great Trainer
DavidBiggs, BAYSWATER Great trainer, good solid construction and getting the bike locked in is dead easy. The resistance is a little light but still enough to really work up a sweat.
