Very happy with the workstand, extremely happy with the service
Julien O'Loughlin, PADDINGTON The bike stand was damaged during the freight. Got in contact with Torpedo 7 team, took a photo of the damaged, and a new part was sent straight away. Now the stand work just fine. Great product, even better service.

Great product
Kieren Strain, FRENCHS FOREST I'd been searching for a suitable workstand for months to conduct basic repairs and maintenance at home. I was tired of having a sore back and knees from having to bend down all the time! This product is exceptional value for money - the construction is sturdy, with beefy but light frame, quality adjustment mechanisms, ease of use and portability. Most other items of similar nature were 2-3 times more expensive.

WORKSTAND
David Blaustein, Bellevue Hill Seems like a great stand. Hopefully will encourage me to do more stuff myself. Only thing I would prefer to see (and even pay more for) would be a metal swivel joint rather than the plastic. Can't say I see a fault with the plastic now, but who knows over time. A metal one would give it same robast feel as the rest of the stand and 5 stars for me.

Very happy with workstand so far
John Raptis, Westbourne Park The stand is actually stronger than I expected and very easy to use. I have successfully used it to hold up a road bike and all my kids mountain bikes. It was very easy to adjust the height of the stand to suit the bike you are working with. Very happy so far.

Workstand
Charles Lloyd, Waikanae Beach Good stand with enough features to make almost all jobs easy. It has a little difficulty handling the different frame shapes and sizes of my bikes but the only consequence is that the bike isn't held absolutely firmly. There were no instructions but that delayed me no more than a couple of minutes - the stand is not that complicated. I would happily buy it again for that price and it has made my bike maintenance a pleasure.

Value Packed on Special
Ian Parrott, VINCENTIA A great purchase from Torpedo 7. The stand can accommodate a variety of frames and I am very happy with it. The plastic toothed collar may be a weakness over time but minimising stresses with a little bit of common sense will prevent any problems.

A must have
Noel Lim, Homebush West For anyone who works on their bikes, this is a must-have.
It'll make the servicing faster, more effective, and less painful (no more back pains!).
The workstand itself has all the adjustments you'd need when working on bikes, and its build quality is great.
Its a steal for the price.

Great Home Mechanic Tool
Brad Wardle, Canberra BC For the price on sale this is a must have tool for the home mechanic.
Even a good chain and clean and lube makes easy work.
Or even just changing tyres. Great buy

You're making life hard if you don't own one
Mark Purvis, AUCHENFLOWER My only one small complaint about this stand design was the plastic toothed collar, and this is not really an issue if you are only working your road bikes or XC MTB's. With the special you won't get better bang for buck than this stand. If you spend the time maintaining your bikes might as well make it easy on yourself.

Workstand pretty Good
Phil W, GREENSLOPES Work stand is great to get the bikes off the ground and work on them. I haven't worked out yet how to stop the bottom mouth of the clamp slipping forward, that's my only gripe with this kit. All else good, great stability.

Fantastic Workstand for $99
Mike Rickerby, CHAPEL HILL The BT999 was far more sturdy than I was expecting for the Special price. It didn't come with any instructions on how to set it up but after a couple of minutes I was away and happily cleaning my bike. There are so many adjustments for height and angles, it's great. I would definitely recommend it.

Well worth it
Adrian Gab, Higgins I bought this in October 09. I initially had some reservations thinking you couldn't get a good stand for under $200 but to my surprise when I opened the package I was amazed at what I got for the price. I recently pulled my MTB apart into many pieces and having this stand has made my life so much easier. The stand is very sturdy and well thought out in its design.

Awesome Workstand
Sandy Blaney, Warilla Very sturdy. Holds the bike by top tube or seat post. Stand is also light and folds to be very compact. Cannot think of one fault - very happy.

Cheaper than the Pro Stand but...
Andy Cianchi, Hobart I rekon it's the same as the Pro stand but for $50 less. A lot of the high stress components are plastic. Mine arrived with a broken part (customer service was great and a replacement was in the post the same day). The stand would get 4 stars if it was all metal, 5 stars with a better designed clamp to hold the bike (...

Excellent Work stand
Jasbir Singh, TEMPLESTOWE Just got this workstand, it looks really sturdy and am very happy with it, just waiting to use it. Would have been the best if there was a small tray that can be attached for bolts and stuff to frame. Neverthless just love the workstand.

Strong, easy to open/close, quality product!
Sean Chang, CONCORD I've had this stand for more than a year now and it see's regular use, gets knocked about when i transport it around, been drenched in rain, but still going strong!
All in all a great stand.

Excellent stand - with one caveat
Tony Nairn, Watson The stand is very well put together and easy to use. However, the toothed collar that allows the clamp to rotate doesn't do up tight enough. I have a Santa Cruz with a shock mount in the middle of the top tube so I have to clamp the frame at the back of the top tube or from the seat post. Either way there is too much weight up front and a bit of pressure on the front of my bike makes the toothed collar slip. Being plastic, it's not gonna survive too many of those moments. If the rotating handle at the rear of the clamp was able to be done up further it might allow the toothed collar to be done up tighter and prevent this issue. My only gripe with an otherwise excellent, and great value workstand.

Convenience and sturdiness
Michael Colsey, CAMPBELLTOWN Like everyone else's reviews - the stand makes tinkering and maintenance a breeze -- & makes your whole bike accessible at a comfortable height. It's much sturdier than I expected and is easily adjusted. Handles road bikes with no probs and have used it for hybrid bikes (~15kg) with no concerns.

Another positive review
Rob Salvatore, Altona Meadows Great value item. Sturdy enough for all but the heaviest work and gives you good access to both sides of the bike. One qualifier, I haven't used it at full vertical extension so can't speak for stability when fully extended. I'm glad I bought it. :)

Outstanding
Mark Cousins, MAWSON LAKES This is one excellent stand, functionally and value for money. True value, even at Torpedo7's 'full' price. Don't know how I managed without one for so long let alone without this top piece of kit.

Solid
Wayne Watson, EVERTON PARK This same stand is $200 from the UK, making Torpedo7's price $30 to $100 cheaper, depending on sales, etc. You're crazy if you don't get one from Torpedo7. It's one very solid piece of work too!

Perfect for the home mechanic!
Kevin R, Melbourne You can't go wrong for the price, this is a great stand for working on my commuter, hard tail and all mountain bikes. The commuter is the heaviest at 14.5Kg, yet the stand can hold it by the top tube and is very sturdy to work on. Setup and operation is a cinch with quick release and single hand operated clamps. Highly recommended.

Well-designed and easy to use
Marcus Judge, VOYAGER POINT Bike maintenance is so much better with a stand, and this one is very easy to use and sturdy enough. It's very convenient to be able to fold it up and stick it in a corner when you're done.

Good gear
jarrod dunn, SUNSHINE Solid, lightweight well made stand, good for all but the heaviest rigs. It hold's my Demo 8 by the seatpost well enough to give it a good clean and light mech, but doesn't sound too happy when holding it by the top bar.. It is a heavy bike, around 20-22kg, and I think it wouldn't take long to wreck the plastic teeth that hold the clamp angle. But for my xc and commuter, no dramas at all. Very good product and price, perfect for all but the heavist bikes if you want to do some serious work on them. Personally, that's what my LBS is for. Overall: Great value sturdy stand.

portable workstand
Jules Evans, NORTH HOBART Great portability. Not as sturdy or stable as a professional workshop stand, due to the fold out legs, but very well made and steady enough for most maintenance.

Great value, can't fault it
Marcin Szczepanski, Sydney Extremely solid stand. Used it for the first time this weekend with my (approx) 15kg MTB on it. I was removing the cranks which had never been taken off the bike so needed to put a lot of grunt work into loosening the nut - despite all of this force the stand held up without a creak or complaint. Excellent!
The only weak point if you could call it that is the toothed collar that holds the angle of the clamp. With my heavy bike on it if you put a bit too much pressure on one end (eg the handlebars) it can skip a tooth even when locked Obviously the answer is just not to stress the clamp collar ;-)
