Product purchased to assist in DIY wheel building as commercial people have lost the plot....price wise.
Product arrived promptly, for home use it is of good build and so far the wheel I set out to re-spoke and true is happening with no problems.
For the price, it is a good outlay for the occasional wheel build.
assembled the stand with ease. seems to be of good constuction standard. works well to true dirt bike wheels.

I bought this thinking it was going to be of cheap quality and made of lite gauge sheetmetal. the box arrived I went to pick it up and nearly shat. I was surprised when I opened the box to find something so well made! I used to work as a mechanical designer, and sure I could make one. but at this price you cant go wrong!
The wheel ballancer is exactly as advertised.
I have changed a front and rear tyre and ballanced them .
I am now going to buy a front rim for my 800 and lace in new spokes.

My motorcycle wheel balancer / truing stand arrived in only 4 days, in perfect condition. Assembly was simple, even without instructions. Nuts on hub mounts were a bit tight, free up easily with a tap / die. Bearings need grease replaced with oil so they spin freely. Only bad design is the 2 tapered mounts for truing the wheel hub: there should not be a step at their ends (where they go into the wheel hub). The very small diameter of the ends is too small to match larger diameter wheel axles / bearings so the hub cannot be perfectly / securely centered; they should be a full taper down to zero diameter at their outer ends. I had to weld up the step & machine them down to a full cone shape. Works well now - for all diameter wheel axles.
I used this to true the rear wheel of my Harley Sportster Forty Eight. The spokes came loose and I had to tighten and true them.
The wheel balancer came with easy to follow instructions for assembly. I was able to mount the rear wheel without having to remove the brake disc and belt pulley, which saved me a lot of time. Truing was an easy process and the frame supports the weight of the wheel.
Quite sturdy and easy enough to use if you take your time. I'm glad I had it when I mounted a new Bridgestone tire and found the dot for locating the valve was printed on the tire 180 degrees out. Still out of balance with 60 grams added at the valve, I dismounted the tire and spun it. 10 grams later all done. Without balancing this would have caused chronic vibration. Standard bearings have been used which means they are greased, a flush out with CRC should remove a lot of the initial resistance and you need to make sure you have good wheel bearings in the rim. Other than that worth every cent. Most car tire places will sell you wheel weights too.
Great product has good features only one problem it does not come with any instructions on how to operate it hard for first time user to know what the right way is.
Only used the balancing properly so far and played with truing a rim. Both worked really well. The bearings are nice and sensitive to allow for small adjustments. Sturdy construction.
I bought this not really expecting much given its price, but I was simply amazed at the quality. This isn't the sort of tool you might get a few uses out of, this is the sort of tool your children will use. For the price of one tire change at the local bike shop you'll have a piece of kit to do all the lacing and balancing you could ever need. If you're even thinking about it, don't hesitate, you'll love it.
