Great set at a very good price
QuintinMatthews, South Dunedin
I bought this tool set to rebuild my 2-stroke MX bikes motor, and i had no other way to remove the small bearings that are used on the powervalve gyro advance, water pump shaft and the bearings that were flush into the case for the gearbox. None of the bike shops in Dunedin have a tool like this and were wanting to charge me a small furtune to make a special tool to remove the bearings, i told them to get lost. then i saw this set on special (was about to buy a Toledo set) I said why not. when i got the tool set and i used it i was very happy with it as it did the job with great ease.
i would highly recommend it to anyone that is going to rebuild their bikes engine and want to replace the bearings in the gearbox. (I always believe in replacing the bearings when i do a complete rebuild of my race motor)

Cheapest set around
RoyWilson, Temuka
My rating takes in to account the price of it. Quality isn't high, but you wouldn't expect it to be.
I brought one of these sets to rebuild my MX bike engine. They're very handy for working on bikes, but usually quite expensive (toledo sets at least $300-350 and possibly the same thing even?) and sykes pickavant are very pricey. I've used the 8mm fitting a few times and it does seem to be quite soft. But that's no surprise for this price. You can buy individual sykes pickavant collets which is what I'll eventually replace the 8mm one for. It's just a compromise, A full quality set will cost so much it's not worth me buying a set. I imagine the larger collets would last much longer because theres a lot more area for the tool to pull on. The slide hammer isn't bad and very useful for other things too. I paid NZ$179.99 for this set and at the current discounted price of NZ$119.99, I think it is well worth having if you don't use it every week. If you work in a bike shop etc, don't bother, save and buy a sykes pickavant set.
