Measure your ceiling battens first  Damionde Soto, PORT MELBOURNE
If your ceiling battens aren't anywhere near 74cm (like mine weren't), then you should probably order the other ceiling bike storage product with 2 separate pieces. Otherwise you'll end up with holes everywhere and a couple of hours of frustration.

Good value on special. Not sure about the instructions as they could have been described better. Also some parts (washers) appear in the steps but no washers are found except for the horizontal bar.

Still thoroughly happy once up and has clear my garage floor from a couple of bikes!

Bought two of these. The first one out of the box was fine apart from the 77cm hole centres being 74cm as others have commented. The second was a bit different as it had a bonus, two bags of bolts and pulleys etc. However the 2 steel bars that bolt together were both for RH end, with only one threaded hole to mount pulleys on. If I hadn't already assembled one unit, it would have been very confusing. The packer must have been having a rough day!

Can't really go wrong when you get it on special!! My 3 bikes now hang well overhead in the garage.

Didn't really trust the hooks on the seat so I made a little sling to go through the seat rails and onto the hooks. Safe and secure!

Would like a better cleat though - the line can slip on the steel cleat if you are not careful.

Easy to assemble, didn't line up with my ceiling battons, but rather than buy a special screw, I just drilled a new hole in it, pity the price went back up, I would have ordered another one. A real bargain at the Special price.

Simple and easy to put together, all the bits were there and it went up without a hassle. Great for differing baton heights as you can adjust the level of the bike when you haul it up to the roof. Maybe a bit smoother rope could be used but this would make the product more expensive and it was at a brilliant price so no complaints here. Fantastic delivery as usual.

Fantastic product and price. The only overhead storage that works for my recumbent but also great for other bikes. Saves lifting the bike overhead. Fast delivery and value.

This may sound daft...
But, I ordered some of these units to store my bikes.

No doubt in my mind, after two years of renovations on my house, these are the most practical, affordable, easy to install and functional items I have purchased in that whole time. Trying to get the same parts from the hardware shop was pushing me up over the $45 mark - at the Special price THEY ROCK!! Thanks Torpedo....

As the other post says I looked to build myself also but this saves the time and the money involved. Bought 4 at the weekly sale price and very happy with them so far. Fit both MTB and triathlon, only negative is the claws are close together and not wide enough for some MTB headstems.
