Stitching rips open
MatthewDuncan, TOOWONG For the price, these are great, I own two pairs of knicks: one quality pair and this pair. This pair has had stitching come undone and I have large 'holes' along the joins in the panels. I've owned my 'quality' brand pair for longer and worn in more frequently and it has not suffered the same issues that the Torpedo7 pair has had.
Having said that though, I have just bought two more pairs of these T7 knicks, because I feel the price each they are a good price for the average quality of the product.

Not as good as their predecessor
DavidLeslie, Oxley Pros: Outstanding price on sale. Good leg length. Compression is comfortable (i.e. not too tight, not too loose). The fabric is soft, although I prefer the higher spandex content of the previous design.
Cons: The flatklock stitching is only where the chamois and extension is stitched in. The seams of the shorts are an overlocked coverstitch which is causing some rubbing where I would prefer it didn't. The chamois is also positioned too far back for my liking (others may prefer it where it is). Additionally, the tops of the shorts do not sit above my waist which makes the pants feel like they are sitting too low all the time and those behind me don't like me riding in the drops (if you get my drift).
All in all I'm not particularly satisfied with these shorts. I much prefer the design and fit of the previous version. They'll do fine for shorter rides (i.e. the commute to work), but would not recommend for someone wanting to be on the bike for long periods of time.
Torpedo7, please revert to the old design for the future.
