we use it for 2 adult bikes and 2 kids bikes and it easily takes these with room to spare. the bikes have all sorts of frame shapes and it seems to take these easily with a bit of imagination on where to stick the forks. the ties downs work easily and well and have not required the use of eaxtra bungy cords yet. for the money this is easily the best value on the market to take 4 bikes!

Good looking unit, I would recommend using high tensile pins instead of bolts to hold arms, that way the arms can be positioned downward when parked up with out the need of a spanner - very happy with purchase.

Overall I am very happy with the rack. There's nothing on the market that I could find that was better value.

The Good:
* Quick and reliable T7 service.
* Easily assembled.
* Web tie-downs are useful and good quality.
* Allen bolts securely lock rack to towbar and tool provided for this is good quality.

The Bad:
* An additional tie-down or bungee is needed to stop forward/backward sway and keep front wheels aligned and locked.
* Padding on main vertical tube is needed if you're not going to lose paint on your bike and on the vertical tube.
* Arms are slightly too far apart. On two of the three bikes I tried I had to hook arm under the fork rather than the the top tube.

Fitted 4 bikes easily. Suited for lite loads (4x road bikes) as bars are not heavy duty one piece but bolted on to main pillar frame. There is a bit of movement when bars are bolted. Suggest replacing the 2x bolts with heavy duty stainless steel for piece of mind - Expensive problem if one bolts should fail causing arm to fall off. More important, wife can fit on and off easily. Very happy.

The rack was easy to assemble and the double screw towbar mounting held it securely. Have only used it for two bikes so far and it was very satisfactory. Not so sure about it coping with four bikes but it should be fine with three. Tie down straps provided, did the job OK but used supplementary bungees to keep the wheels in line. At the discounted price it represents excellent value for money.

Initial impressions are very good. Very sturdy. As previous reviewers have done, I intend to replace arm bolts with some easily removeable device to remove the arms when not in use. The upright can be left in place on the towball (locked) but the empty arms protuding out are dangerous. Coloured tips would certainly be a plus. Thanks.

Here in two days..have replaced bolts with pins and clips so can drop the arms down. Straps are great. Did have to modify (cut and weld) to move away from boot so it can open, tow ball quite close to bumper on Falcons?
Still a great rack and price.

I have had this rack for a couple of years and overall have been very happy. It is not strong enough for 4 full sized bikes on rough roads and mine bent on a recent trip. The arms could be a little bit closer together and I agree with the comments regarding movement etc. Don't get me wrong however this is an excellent rack for the money.

This rack is great. Will easily fit 4 bikes. Just alternate the direction of the bikes as you fit them and there's heaps of room. Came with the usual fast and efficient service from Torpedo 7. Highly recommended.

Great buy. Good solid bike rack that is easy to assemble and use. Straps provided hold bikes securely on rack, although it does pay to use a bungey also. Have only used 3 bikes on this rack, but still room for a 4th bike. This purchase represents great value for money. Would recommend.

I've used the ezi-grip system rack for a few years, but recently bought a MTB whose top tube was too big for it. This is much less complicated design. Which makes it more universal for MTBs which these days have very oversized tubes. This is solid, and comes with 8 very robust straps, great value indeed.

I received my order two days after ordering which is excellent.
The rack was easy to set up, sturdy and fits 4 xc mountain bikes easily.
The nylon straps are fiddly but work well.
I fitted the arm mounting bolts with split pins so I can quickly fold the arms down vertically, and a towbar chain with padlock for security.

T7 4 Bike Rack  PeterSmart, Harbord
So simple, too easy! I fitted 2 MTB's, 2 recreational bikes easily. Very sturdy, bikes don't move at all - BUT - the whole rack assembly does when turning quickly, eg roundabouts. It swivels on the tow ball under the weight of the 4 bikes. Sufficient height so wheels don't hit speed bumps (most) awkward ditches when fitted to a Camry Wagon.

This is a very good rack. Easy to set up and install on your car. It is very sturdy when fitted and quick and easy to put on and off your car. I just leave it attached to my tow bar tongue and ball and it slips on and off in seconds.
Would take 4 bikes but is perfect for 3 with room to spare so they scratch each other. Highly recommend this rack.

A good value for money rack. The allen wrench could be longer and rubber covered for a better grip. The bolts holding the padded arms to the post could be better quality as one of mine stripped before I could tighten it sufficiently. The arms could be a tighter fit into the post, as I suspect they will wear from movement over time. The straps could be a brighter colour to make them more visable. A threaded knob on the end of one of the padded arms would allow for accessory number plate mounting ($180 fine!)
