Note for 29er’s
We’ve tested a Large framed Dual Suspension 29er in this bag and here are our suggestions to fit:
- Remove both wheels, and tyres and tubes - to allow wheels to fit into wheel bags (wheel bags are designed for 700 x 23/35c or 26" MTB wheels fitted with tyres inflated only)
- We recommend that the rear derailleur and handlebars are removed for best fit too.

Good Value - But Add Cardboard
Stephen Lloyd-Jones, MELBOURNE
I bought one of these of sale for an overseas trip, and fortuitously my workmate had just imported a bike so cardboard and packing to spare! Added cardboard sides and a large polystyrene slab on the bottom and used the extra foam tubes on various other parts.
Like any other bike bag with a road bike in it - wheels, seat, seatpost, and pedals off, handlebars rotated down and then there's plenty of room to tuck in tools, helmet, backpack and a bit of clothing.
Shoulder straps a good and even fully loaded can hike through a customs hall. The handle is positioned a little low (as per another review) - higher would give a little extra stability, but overall does the job pretty well.

Padded Bike Bag
John Cavanagh, GARDEN SUBURB
Would have liked to see some instructions with supply on the optimum way of packing bike. Just returned from first trip with bag - disappointed. Bike (29er) packed readily - wheels with deflated tyres fitted into pouches. Padding prevented any damage. Bag would not stand up by itself. Base not stiff enough - ended up with v-shaped base when wheeling - it was difficult to wheel - not stable - had to hold handle end higher to stop belly dragging on ground. The old cardboard box on the skateboard would have overcome these issues.

Good Protection
Alan Stewart, Mairangi Bay
I have a lg size full suspension MTB and it fits in fine. I added cardboard sides internally as well. I also made up a solid foam support to go under the rear stays which raised the back of the frame enough to keep the chainring from sitting on the floor of the bag. The handle is too low for wheeling the bag and the wheels are a bit close set together for stability but these are minor gripes. After several Intl trips my bike is undamaged so all good..

Floppy and heavy
Anthony Poutsma, ALBANY CREEK
This bag needs serious stiffening in the form of added cardboard or similar internal panels to be useful. Unmodified and packed with bike it is unable to stand up unassisted and is too unstable to wheel around without half carrying the bag. I should have sent it back.

Great value
Andrew Norwood, QUEENSTOWN
I have now packed my bike into the bag and it fits perfect. I have a large bike with Fox 36s and the bike only just fits. The wheel bags are great for added protection and there is plenty of room for other riding gear. I have added bike box walls to the sides of the bag (internally) to further protect my bike. The bike is able to stand and be pulled by its handle on wheels when full. The cardboard stability may assist this. It loses a star for the zip handle breaking off first slide. Nothing a zip tie won't fix.

Good value
Andrew Thorpe, Tauranga Central
Bag seems well made and wheel covers are good with axle end pads. Couldn't get the bag to stand on it's own with the bike inside. On the other hand we'd loaded it up with everything under the sun so can't complain.

Value bike bag
jim plater, BEVERLY HILLS
Just completed 4 flights with a large mountain bike in the bag, I put extra padding around all areas that would rub, took discs off wheels and generally thought about what can break. No problems, highly recommend this slightly padded bag. Yes it will not protect your baby like a hard case but is a lot easier to store in cars and hotels. Great bag for its price.

Great bag
Paul Stanley, SYDNEY
Great bag, fits everything in very easily, solid feel but bag wheels need a bit of elevation to get going.

extremely useful
Malcolm Patch, Bondi Beach
Just used this bag for a plane flight back from Dubbo zoo2zoo ride. Easy, simple and quick to use, bike arrived safely, wheel bags worked a treat. Great value at bargain sale price.

Torpedo7 Bike Bag
Clayton Wright, SAMFORD VILLAGE
I was so disappointed in this bag, I sent it back! It has very little padding, basic wheel bags, you would be better off using a cardboard box if you looking for a bag to transport overseas, at the end of the day you get what you pay for!

Torpedo7 Bike Bag
Jason Green, WINMALEE
Well made bike bag that appears to be strong and durable. Good size and not to heavy. An extra shoulder strap and attachment points at the ends of the bag would be useful for when the bag cannot be wheeled. The wheel bags are adequately padded and should provide sound protection. Added tie-down straps in the inner compartment would help secure contents. The tool-roll is a clever inclusion. At the price(on sale)it represents top value for money and will do the job for many years of bike travel. Thanks T7
