A great choice if you don't need GPS
DanielW, MELBOURNE it was a choice between this sigma and a garmin gps. i'm happy i picked the sigma. it has the top-of-the-range functions like altimeter, heart rate monitor, kilojoules and temperature, but importantly doesn't need recharging. compare that to a gps that needs unplugging and recharging every 12 hours. i've used it for about 4 hours so far and the wireless communication from the three sensors (speed, cadence, heart rate) has been flawless. the display is clear, and navigation between functions is simple. programming is also quite easy. if i do have a criticism it's the documentation that comes with it: mostly it's ok, but the explanation of how to use the heart rate monitor is almost non-existent. apart from a small image of a drop of water, there was no indication in english that the sensor pads have to be dampened to detect your pulse. the instructions on initial calibration of the altimeter could also be improved. all in all i wouldn't hesitate to recommend this if you want to know a bit more about your ride than the basic distance and speed functions.
