Shimano is focused on premium performance, the Shimano XTR HB-M978 15QR Centerlock Front Hub introduces a new standard - 15QR. 15QR brings the thru axle stiffness to cross country bikes. A 25% increase in transverse shear stiffness, and 15% increase in torsional stiffness, at no weight penalty. The Centerlock Front Hub comes drilled for 32 spokes. It accepts an axle diameter of 15mm, designed to be compatible with the 15QR standard used by Rock Shox, Fox and Marzocchi. The hub shell is made of aluminium and finished with a nice anodized look. The bearings run on super polished cups and cone races. To keep it all running mint there are double contact seals keeping out the outside.
