The New M770 features Shimano's 'Low Normal Return Spring', that lends to incredibly intuitive operation when combined with Dual Control shift levers. The Shimano XT Rear Derailleur RD-M770 enhances and allows for pre-selection of inward shifts, especially in varying terrain.

The Shimano XT RD-M770 rear derailleur will work seemlessly with all Shimano LX, XT and XTR components. Narrow Hyper Glide design delivers consistent shifting on 9-speed cassettes.

This derailleur naturally rests in the large cassette sprocket. It works in the opposite direction to a standard spring direction rear derailleur. It will still work with any 8 or 9 speed shimano compatible shifter and drivetrain, but in the opposite direction.
