see my vest
Doug McKinnon, TRANMERE
Its not made of gorilla chest, but looks like it will keep me just as warm! I went for the Large. I took a jumper that I thought was a reasonable fit, laid it out flat like in the sizing chart and measured it in the same places. No problems.

Like a Glove
Craig Pearson, PASCOE VALE
I bought a large (from reviews advice) and I am 88kg 5'11''. It fits like a glove. I am going to wear it in winter playing golf. Fleecy inner, soft shell outer. I really like the high neck as well. Bought it on special too, added bonus!

Like a Tent
Andrew Kelly, DIAMOND CREEK
I bought a M jacket and it feels like an XL. The vests are too big. Other than that the quality of the material appears high.

Great Value
Scott Dinham, NORTH ALBURY
Outstanding value jacket - especially at the special price. Quality materials used. Sizing is a little ridiculous so order smaller than you normally would purchase. I am a M to L in most things and ordered a small, and I've still got room to move. Once you've got the sizing right you will love this vest.

Route 7 Softshell Vest
Phil Grey, Melbourne
Excellent vest. Really stops that cold morning air. When you warm up just unzip it a little for great air flow.

Excellent value
Nicholas Squillari, BELMONT
After the reviews I went for a medium, which fitted me (185cm, 76kg) perfectly. Tight enough so there was no flapping, but still nice and comfortable.
10 degree (and wet) ride later I have to say that I was very, very impressed. Was kept at a nice and toasty temp, and when I started working a little harder unzipping it half way still let in enough frigid air to keep me cool.
A grade value at normal price, and a steal when on sale! Just be sure to order a size smaller than what you think you might be.

Top quality vest! Generous sizing
Rob Salvatore, Altona Meadows
Well, I'm an XXL in all jersey etc bike clothing except for this soft shell vest! It's a generous sizing but it still kept my core toasty on a Melbourne 5degC commute. Soft on the inside, full zipper with decent back pocket... this was an absolute bargain at the special price and good value at the discounted list price.
I suspect the L would have been suitable for my frame.

Just an Excellent Vest
Paul I, Essendon
Simple, comfy, warm and so cheap considering. Just a touch baggy but that's not a major drama. Love the material. If the stitching and zips hold out, it is easily the equivalent of a similar product at an adventure store that costs five to six times as much. I got mine on Special and I wish I'd brought two!

Good Choice
Mark Wyer, NORTH ROCKHAMPTON
Picked up this vest only yesterday and have taken it out for a ride last night in the cold. I have only had it for a day, but here is my review:
Pro: Nice and light weight. Worked very well at keeping my chest warm. The black colour looks very pro. The high vis logos aren't too overbearing. The rear pocket is well positioned and is very handy. The vest worked well with wearing a camel back while I was riding. Collar is the right height for keeping your neck warm without being annoying.
Con: Perhaps a little baggier than I wanted (am still contemplating returning it for one size smaller). The windstopper was not so effective once you had a sweat up.....but it is only a vest! The main zipper is a little fiddly at the bottom to get it started.
Bottom line: I agree with the other reviews, this is a great product, and providing you get the sizing right you will be very happy!

Best investment for winter
Michael Colsey, CAMPBELLTOWN
It's so good I wear it every day.
Pros: Vest (c.f. jacket) keeps the wind off your core to keep you warm, but gives you flexibility to take arm warmers off when you get going - no overheating. Comfy collar keeps your neck (front and back) warm. Plenty of visibility in low light thanks to reflective strips. Soft and comfy material with a fleecy backing. Tagged zip pocket is handy. Vest won't balloon out when unzipped so you stay at just the temp you want.
Cons: None really - except its kind of baggy fit, but no big deal. The sizing chart has measurements for all dimensions if you want to be sure of the correct size (pro).
Other thoughts: Haven't tried it in the rain yet. If it also keeps the rain out of core, then that's a bonus.
Bottom line: If you ride in the cold, buy one - you won't be sorry (especially if its on special)

Great vest
john oldham, SWANBOURNE
Love this vest. M is a loosish fit on me which I like but it doesn't flap at all. I am 5'10" and 74kg. It is warm but when unzipped at all really funnels the air in which I really like also. I haven't had a chance to test the waterproof claim yet. I have been wearing this vest everyday since I bought it about 3 weeks ago. I commute 11kms in about 11 degrees C in the morning (not cold yet but I find I have to zip it half down or I get too hot). I wear a short sleeve summer jersey with arm warmers underneath. It would have to get quite a bit colder for me to have to wear more. This is my favourite piece of cycle clothing.
