Still too big and heavy
LukasZ, MELBOURNE
On the basis of reviews I got a medium whereas I would normally get a XL (I am 6ft medium build). And its still too big!!! Also feels very heavy like a flak jacket.
Also too hot for spring mornings with no ventilation on the back. Better for winter but then you need something for the arms.
Otherwise the material feels tough and well built and of good quality. Probably more suited to other sports but not cycling.

Good Vest
EvanFerguson, Redwood -ChCh
Great for the money when on special, very warm, windproof and almost waterproof. I have the jacket version as well but this gets worn alot more. Same exact cut and size as the jacket but without sleeves. Quite a wide cut.

Good buy
joshhixson, Adelaide
I am 200cm and 90kg, bought a L, good body length, is a looser fit. M would have been a snug fit, but too short in the body.
Only for winter in adelaide, used it at 8 degrees, and was very warm after 5km.
Very warm, great price!

Awesome
MatPhipps, Hobart
I love this jacket. I've had it for a month now and the snow has been falling around Hobart. This jackets keeps my chest nice and warm with plenty of room to layer up underneath. The sizing is roomy (you may want to consider a smaller size than normal), the zip is good, the back packet is large. My next stop will be the jacket version of this beast.

Well worth it
MatthewCordery, ORANGE
At least as good as other vests costing 5 times as much. Fits well (sizing is quite large), keeps me warm, zip is easy to use while riding. The jacket in the same line is great too.

Big size!
riderz, Auckland CBD
Looks of good quality but it is a wide cut. I had to send my M size back for a small.
Normally I have to buy L (my Route 7 wind breaker jacket is a L and it fits fine).

Good stuff - Size pretty big
TonyHawker, MELBOURNE
This Vest is a bit of a winner, but the sizing is pretty big, I'm 5'10" and 70kg's and I bought the small, and its a loose fit on me, the bonus is I can easily wear another jumper underneath if I want which will be good in winter, but its still a good vest, it doesn't flap around in the wind just feels looser than I think it should. Its made out of good stuff and keeps your warm and dry like its supposed to though.

Size too large
johnlee, RIDDELLS CREEK
Just received vest. Looks good quality. But original purchase of large was too big. Measurements did not match sizing chart. Returned for medium and fits well. I am 85 kg and 5'10". On special considered to be good value except return post cost to Torpedo7. Took approx. 2 weeks from returning to receiving vest. Order at least one smaller size than normal.

almost perfect
TerryLeung, HORNSBY
1st day used it, rained like hell. Still kept my main body warm and dry. Also good in keeping wind away. Bought at discount, great value. Only--not colorful enough like a normal jersey, so not too visible on road, on the other hand, you can wear it in daily situation.

Good in-vest-ment!
PaulClode, PROSPECT
Blocks wind extremely well and keeps you warm. Sizing is a bit off - I usually get Large but tried a Medium and it still has a little bit of room to move. But you can't argue with the great value when it get's the job done!

ROUTE 7 Softshell Vest
dughoskins, PYMBLE
Vest does not taper around midriff - so it can be a bit baggy. I also miss side pockets. But for the price - don't complain too loudly..

see my vest
DougMcKinnon, TRANMERE
Its not made of gorilla chest, but looks like it will keep me just as warm! I went for the Large. I took a jumper that I thought was a reasonable fit, laid it out flat like in the sizing chart and measured it in the same places. No problems.

Like a Glove
CraigPearson, PASCOE VALE
I bought a large (from reviews advice) and I am 88kg 5'11''. It fits like a glove. I am going to wear it in winter playing golf. Fleecy inner, soft shell outer. I really like the high neck as well. Bought it on special too, added bonus!

Like a Tent
AndrewKelly, DIAMOND CREEK
I bought a M jacket and it feels like an XL. The vests are too big. Other than that the quality of the material appears high.

Great Value
ScottDinham, NORTH ALBURY
Outstanding value jacket - especially at the special price. Quality materials used. Sizing is a little ridiculous so order smaller than you normally would purchase. I am a M to L in most things and ordered a small, and I've still got room to move. Once you've got the sizing right you will love this vest.

Excellent vest. Really stops that cold morning air. When you warm up just unzip it a little for great air flow.

Excellent value
NicholasSquillari, BELMONT
After the reviews I went for a medium, which fitted me (185cm, 76kg) perfectly. Tight enough so there was no flapping, but still nice and comfortable.
10 degree (and wet) ride later I have to say that I was very, very impressed. Was kept at a nice and toasty temp, and when I started working a little harder unzipping it half way still let in enough frigid air to keep me cool.
A grade value at normal price, and a steal when on sale! Just be sure to order a size smaller than what you think you might be.

Top quality vest! Generous sizing
RobSalvatore, Altona Meadows
Well, I'm an XXL in all jersey etc bike clothing except for this soft shell vest! It's a generous sizing but it still kept my core toasty on a Melbourne 5degC commute. Soft on the inside, full zipper with decent back pocket... this was an absolute bargain at the special price and good value at the discounted list price.
I suspect the L would have been suitable for my frame.

Just an Excellent Vest
PaulI, Essendon
Simple, comfy, warm and so cheap considering. Just a touch baggy but that's not a major drama. Love the material. If the stitching and zips hold out, it is easily the equivalent of a similar product at an adventure store that costs five to six times as much. I got mine on Special and I wish I'd brought two!

Good Choice
MarkWyer, NORTH ROCKHAMPTON
Picked up this vest only yesterday and have taken it out for a ride last night in the cold. I have only had it for a day, but here is my review:
Pro: Nice and light weight. Worked very well at keeping my chest warm. The black colour looks very pro. The high vis logos aren't too overbearing. The rear pocket is well positioned and is very handy. The vest worked well with wearing a camel back while I was riding. Collar is the right height for keeping your neck warm without being annoying.
Con: Perhaps a little baggier than I wanted (am still contemplating returning it for one size smaller). The windstopper was not so effective once you had a sweat up.....but it is only a vest! The main zipper is a little fiddly at the bottom to get it started.
Bottom line: I agree with the other reviews, this is a great product, and providing you get the sizing right you will be very happy!
