Great, but tight on the legs
Rick Hunt, PORT MELBOURNE
I agree with all the other comments here that these are a great pair of bib shorts, but as has been detailed below the leg openings are a bit on the tight side.

Sizing???
Giles Argent, Perth
Purchased XL based on other users feedback. Well the size isn't all that much bigger. Chamois feels good and well padded, yet to try on the bike.
Must say though that Torpedo7 clothing sizing is extremely hard to pick either on the sizing charts or other customers feedback.
Who do you believe the sizing chart or the users?

Great Value, Quality Feel
Hilton Gock, FITZROY
At 178cm and 77Kg, the large size fits very well. Chamois is generously sized and very comfortable. The bib shorts have a quality feel about them comparable to other brands costing two or three times as much. I bought mine during a weekly sale and whould have bought several of them if I knew they were this good.

better than expected
Philip Johnson, KATHERINE
This is the first time I have bought bib shorts and comparing the on special price against what else is available I expected lower quality. The fit is small so go a size larger. The material quality & stitching is good for the price and breaths than expected in the high temp (38c) and humidity (90%)of an NT buildup. Value for money. Good work T7

comfy
Raymond Cohen, Research
I have been a rider for many years and these are the first bib shorts I have purchased. They are very comfortable and appear to be of high quality.
I washed them once before my first ride but still ended up dye stains on my legs afterwards -- maybe washing them twice is a good idea.
I am 178cm, 74kg male who bought the Large size which fits fine around the waist and shoulders. My only concern is to prevent the rubbing of my nipples...

Great Value
M B, Perth
A great pair of knicks for training - comfortable chamois and a good fit. At 188cms, I bought XL and was very happy with the size. Not sure I'd go smaller, or else the tension might be too much on my shoulders.

It's all good as long as you have skinny legs!
David Meikle, Wollongong
I agree with the comments from the others - the chamois is comfortable, it's well made, nice cut, etc but its tight in the legs. Mine are XL and seem to fit well all over except the legs...figure they'll loosen up a bit with time.

Thumbs up!!
Paul Guarrera, MOUNT GRAVATT EAST
Bought these on special to try out... After a week of commuting, I am a huge fan.
Great, comfy chamois (if you prefer thin/minimalist chamois, these are NOT for you). Also note the previous sizing comments - they size these very small!! I am 175cm tall, and 85kg, and the XL I bought fits well (on the 'tight' side). To compare, I am an L in the NZO knicks I have previously boght from Torpedo7.....
To sum up - outstanding value bibs, even at the 'normal' price. Worth a try...

Great fit
Luke C, Sydney
Sizing as per chart and a great buy. Large chamois softens and molds after the first few rides and has good durability. I'm 6'5", 95kgs and found that the XL was a bit tighter than others over the shoulders but certainly acceptable. Probably only down side is that shoulder straps aren't perforated and can make your top half a bit warm. Although that can be good thing in winter.

great value
julian del beato, MELBOURNE
These seem pretty good value at the sale price I got them at. at 6'3 and a slim build, the XL size only just comfortably fits, so I'd agree with other comments that the sizing is a bit on the small side.

Route7 Bib Shorts
George Adams, Ingleburn
Second pair, mainly because of the special price. Best Value for a bib short. Normally an XL in most cycle shorts, but the xxl fits perfectly due to the bib area over the sholder being more comfortable in the larger size and still snug around the lower areas. Great Buy.

Golden, but follow advice on sizing
Simon Hutchinson, SYDNEY
Picked these up and am very happy with them. I took the advice from the feedback and got a size larger than I would have following the size chart. The size chart looks like it is right in terms of width, but they are a little short in comparison with others ... I'm 190cm, 84kg and the XL did the trick for me!

On Sale=Excellent value!!
Justin Jefferson, CHARLESTOWN
Bought these bib shorts on special.
If you can find a better made short for a better price, then BUY it.
I am 73kg, 5'10" tall. Got the large size and it was a perfect fit. I have the Assos S-series bib shorts to compare them with, I could get 2 pairs of the Route 7 on special to one Assos. Are the S series twice as good??
Pros: Good Chamois, not too big but comfy. Reflective Logos are good for early/late rides. Bib length is fine.
Cons: Wish they came in other colours as well.

Not Bad
Andrew Grace, BEAUDESERT
I've got last years Route 7 bibs in size small, so I brought the small size again and I find them a bit tight around the legs and the shoulder straps compared to last years version. Also the legs are quite long, so should be good in winter. Overall reasonable value for money.

Good for girls too!!
Allison C, melbourne
I have had these shorts for a few months now and I find them very comfortable. I am a female of 170cm weighing 70kg and I have them in large - they fit reasonably well but I think next time I will try the medium size. The chamois is really comfortable and I found that it required less wearing in than other bike shorts I have worn.

Great Value
Aaron Le Page, Perth
Great value and good looking bibs, the sizing was the same as the charts I am 178cm and 80kg and got the medium. The chamois seems quite good too and I imagine it will soften up a bit more with use. Overall highly recommended.

Very Happy
Neil Hamey, Sherwood
I purchased some of these and have now done a few km's (one 100km ride) in them and are very happy with them. I did order a size above what was suggested as per the sizing chart and am happy I did. I've found the chamois is great and they are very comfy.

Route 7 Pro Bib shorts
John Ang, Mitcham
I have used this bib 4 times so far and one for a ride of 80 Kms. It is the first time I have used a bib and have nothing to compare this bib against. Good looking, the fit is comfortable. Chamois is a bit uncomfortable and hopefully will soften up with age. I usually wear a medium size and thought I have ordered the wrong size. But after reading other comments I have to agree that the bib straps were too short and I could feel the tension.

Pretty good
Marcus Judge, VOYAGER POINT
Comfy and the fit is good, but the chamois is too large and a bit annoying. Maybe this will soften up with age?

Good nicks for the price, watch sizing
Matt Brough, Hobart
As always, great value for money. Well designed and good looking bibs, and the chamois used in these is fantastic once it's worn in.
Only negative is sizing; I have XL Route7 nicks which fit perfectly, but the bib nicks in the same size are slightly too small (a little tight around thighs and shoulder straps are a bit short).

Ok, was expecting more
D C, Perth
The prospects for these bibs were good seeing the other comments. Though when I did only a 15minute cycle I could feel the difference between this bib and other ones you pay a couple bucks more for.
The polyester/spandex mix is ok, however some parts of the bibs have 2 layers for the Route7 logo in addition to the straps being the same thick material (not perforated and thin like other bibs and how you would want it when you have a jersey on top).
The sizing was also mixed.. I have larger than average thighs and this seemed to be ok tightness, however, the length of the bib (straps) were too short and I could feel the tension. I am 73kg and 174cm. Ordered L size.
They do look nice however.

Excellent value
sda sda, melbourne
Just bought another two pairs of these bibs after wearing a previous set into the ground after 10 months of daily (2hr) commuting. They already had a great chamois -- wide coverage and excellent cushioning, and this has been retained. The legs have been lengthened a bit which makes up for the slightly shorter style in last year's model. The added labelling across the back looks good. Lycra is very comfortable and close fitting. An excellent product. Took one of the new sets for a 180km ride on the weekend and extremely comfortable throughout. For the money, these are great value bibs. I'll be back next year for more. .. Only watch sizes -- XL just fits me (85kg, medium build male), since this is the largest size, I wonder how these will fit larger lads.
