Nice to have.
Paul Brodie, PHILLIP BAY
These lights aren't super bright, but good as a secondary light to my rear q-lite. Because of the 1 AAA battery power, the lights can start going dim a little earlier than you would expect, but nothing too bad. I've had a comment from another cyclist asking how to get them, so obviously they look the part. There are a few issues with the placement, however, as others have pointed out. Mainly, if you take them on and off frequently the bar tape is going to become loose and start coming off at the ends, as mine has. Because of this I started leaving the lights in there when parked out in the open... so far no one's taken them, though it would only take a few seconds to do.

Secure??
Phil Dangerfield, West Perth
A fuctional gimmic, gives good width to your bike. A little concerned about how long they will stay on the bike if I ever park it in public however as they are very easy to remove, but not something you want to be taking out on a regular basis.

Nice!
Steve Bennett, St Kilda
I found them trivial to install, though they stick out a centimetre or so more than they should. I also don't quite get the comments about leaning on walls - on my bike, I don't think that part of the bar would make contact. Overall, I like them, they give the bike a bit of width. One other benefit is that you can easily turn them on/off while riding - not so easy for a light mounted on the end of your rear rack.

A nice adjunct to my Q-Lite rear lamp!
John Rayner, Redcliffe
These stand out well, particularly in flashing mode. Usefully they give an idea to motorists of how wide the bike is. I found them easy to fit, especially when helped with a bit or water soluble lubricant I just happened to have around the house.
On the downside I do observe that it is going to be necessary to remove the light from the handlebar to replace the battery. A better design would have allowed battery replacement while still installed in the bike.

Buy Them!
James Kelly, Sydney
Best $15 Ive spent in a while. These provide a surprising amount of illumination for a single led, almost as much as the 7 led light I have at the back. (luxeon star perhaps?) Anyways the retention rubber is the only downside rip that off and use double sided tape (basically anything but the rubber gromit!) trying to fit it with the supplied rubber gromit resulted in unwinding my bar tape grr. To my eyes they look pretty sturdy for the price, as per previous though watch where you lean it! I commute in the Sydney CBD and had 3 people at the traffic lights race to catch up and say wow those are wicked where did you get them ... so torpedo7 do I get a referral discount?

Just as you'd expect
Rob Salvatore, Altona Meadows
These little bar light took a little fitting - I had to shave off some of the up right rubbers strips on the gripping insert, but after that they installed easy enough.
I don't think they'll stand up well to regularly supporting a bike 'up against the wall', but apart from that, they're light and provide adequate and unusual rearward lighting.
Personally, they're best used in conjunction with more typical rear lights.
I like them :)
