Q-LITE 1 Watt High Power White LED Front Lamp (QL-230-2)
Be seen and stay safe after dark with this powerful 1 Watt LED headlight with handlebar mount. The 1 Watt headlight is bright enough to be seen by other road users from a great distance even during the day in bright sunshine. It adds that little extra safety to any commute. It is also bright enough to light up your way when it is dark outside - not a claim that too many LED lights can make, often they are only there to alert other road users to your presence. The other safety feature of this light is the 180 degree windows either side of the lens to allow a spread of light out sideways to further allert motorists of your presence when entering or exiting road junctions or driveways. - 2 modes - Steady or flashing
- Handlebar mount included
- Comes with lanyard to attach to base for general non-biking use
- Once handlebar amount is attached the light can be installed/removed very quickly
- Fits all diameter handlebars including O/S 31.8mm - not suitable for Palm-Bars
- Size 100mm(L) x 36mm(W) x 36mm(H)
- Visible up to 500m
- Run time of up to 10 hours
- Takes 4 x AAA batteries (supplied)
The speed of the flashing mode is approximately 2.5 flashes per second. Not as fast as a strobe type, but not as slow as a road marker either. Just like Goldilocks and the three bears, not too fast and not too slow - it’s just right!

I like it!
James Den-Ouden, Rydalmere
Good throw distance, and the sideways angle adjustment on the bracket is a good idea too. Flash rate is a little slower than I expected yet still adequate for cars to see, and isn't that what it's all about? I reckon the Q-Lite is as good as equivalent products costing $20-30 more.

Bright, cheap, portable
Paul Brodie, PHILLIP BAY
1) this is bright. Lights up the road and people will definitely see you from ahead. My other 3-LED Q-Lite I bought a year ago has nothing on this. 2) this is portable. Perfect for a commuter, you can just chuck it in your pack when you arrive at your destination. 3) this is cheap. Nothing for $30 compares.
This suits me better than a halogen battery pack light set up... maybe not as bright, but bright enough and much lighter/smaller.

Q-LITE 1 Watt High Power White LED Front Lamp (QL-230-2)
Colin Bourke, MOONEE PONDS
What a great light. It is the best short of a lead/acid battery. I was very impressed with its performance and price. Great backup light if you use lead/acid battery. Beam is ideal for dark bicycle paths.

Q-LITE 1 watt High Power LED Front Lamp
Lou Wilson, Rowville
Great value for money and does what it says give you light to see not just a warning light. I commute along bike paths where there is no street lights in the dark and this light gives anough lighting to see. Also like the sideways adjustment so if you mount it on one side of your bars you can still angle the light beam back to straight in front of you.

Eye-ball burner
Romper Stomper, Sydney
What a top effort from Q-lite! Even with 4 AAAs on-board, this thing is light, and as an engineer appeals for its sturdy construction and little features like the water-proofing seal to keep it all dry inside. The light output itself is very high, with a very long 'straight range'. Once you get out of line, 10degrees or so, the power is very much reduced, due to the high focus-factor of the lens, an effect which is possibly not exactly what you want with a 'city-please-see-me' light. In combo with the hat-mounted mini-flashers, this does make a very conspicuous set-up however, giving me lots of road-confidence while hacking thru the traff. My only real gripe would be the flash frequency, which is about 2 per second, just a bit too slow for my liking, I think 4/sec and up is more visible. But rest assured, if you shell out 30 sovs for this unit, you will not be disappointed.

FOR A GREAT LIGHT
john fitzsimmons, CRANBOURNE WEST
For a light under 30 dollars, I was surprised how good it preformed on a night ride in a bush track. For the price great light.

Sensational Headlight
Stephen Coles, LONSDALE
Super Bright headlight, really draws attention and illuminates over a long distance. Seems to have 3 modes, not 2
High Power, Low Power and 0.5 second flash
Also has side lenses so you're visible on a wide angle, not just dead ahead
For the price as others have said, it can't be beaten. The handlebar mount swivels from side to side (maybe 15 degrees) a bit I've found. Unsure if it's a feature or a design flaw. And I'm not a fan of AAA batteries. I'd prefer it to be AA. But maybe you need 3 batteries to get the voltage up.

Excellent Light
Gavan Jacob, PERTH
I had a dual light with the water bottle battery setup that I was reluctant to have on my frame, so I bought this light. This is an amazing light for its size and fantastic value and it c/w batteries. Does the job really well and it's a light light too!

Great Value
Greg Aurisch, Terrigal
I bought this as a back up light for the Scott 24hr at Canberra. Solid handlebar mount(O/S), didn't move at all over the roughest single tracks. Very good light for the price.

Bright for the money!
Peter McKinlay, Wollongong
Other ~$30 lights can't hold a candle to this thing (har har...). Getting something simmilar from the local shop costs about $70.
Only real quibble is the mount, which seemed a little reluctant to go over my road bike's bars.
