The Ergon Child Seat from OK baby is designed and manufactured in Italy, so style and quality are assured.
The high-back anatomical backrest with headrest protects your child’s spine completely, and the the special water-repellent and heat proof padding keeps your child comfortable at all times. The 3 point safety belt and foot rests are adjustable for height as your child grows, and the adjustable foot straps keep your child’s feet tucked out of harms way.
The mounting bracket for attaching the child-seat to the seat tube of your bike features a quick release mechanism for fast and easy attachment with the push of a button leaving only the bracket permanently attached to your bike. (A second bracket can be purchased separately for use on a second bike, allowing the one child-seat to easily swap between two bikes). Mounting bracket is also supplied with an optional combination security lock that restricts access to the one button quick release system.
Perfect for bikes with rear suspension, where mounting a child-seat to the seat-stays of the bike is not possible.
Please note: Rear suspension travel must not allow the rear wheel to compress to the point where the rear tyre contacts the child-seat. Consult your local bike shop if you are unsure.

Does work with my full suspension bike
GrantFife, Bryndwr I too was concerned that it would not work with my rear suspension but it does - just! (Marin Quad XC). The clamp is quite big so I checked the OK Baby website and after looking at the dimensions decided to risk it. Used it for the first time today and it was great. Because of the placement restrictions of my suspension I have to carry it quite high which effects the centre of gravity - but it didn't take long to get used to. Although it might not work with all full suspension bikes it is about the only option I have seen and for my bike it works perfectly - but it might not if my frame had been a smaller size.

Best design I've seen/used
LeonSmith, Canberra, AU I've used a couple of these for almost ten years now. Copes with weight of my 5yo girl fine, but she's getting a bit long in the legs for it! The foot-strap lugs broke off after a few years use (about three days a week, two trips each of those days), but the main fabric of the seat is still going strong. They sit a bit higher than rack-mounted seats, so make for a higher centre of gravity, but the spring steel at least absorbs most of the shock from bumps/potholes. Going up kerb ramps at 15km/h will make them bounce enough to bottom out on rear rack/wheel. On a large frame (21") I could mount rear panniers still and have them 1/2 full. On wife's smaller frame, not possible. Now if only we could have a rear rack designed to fit under and behind this seat. Would be even better on a long bike like an Xtracycle - why aren't Torpedo selling these?!?!

Not bad,
MichaelSmith, Wilberforce Our toddler weighs 9kg and the problem I have with this seat is that there is alot of flex within the support bars. Even going over a small speed bump slowly has her bouncing around. Additional support is required to reduce or elimate this bouncing. I had to place the mount on the seat post so the seat doesn't hit the tyre.
This is a reflection of the design of the seat not the quality. A well made product and finished off very well.
