The Diane is a high end womens’ short for serious sport roadies, and the design is expressly for women, not just a mens short with a different pad. The front waist of this design is not elasticated, it is self waisted to keep the pressure on the abdomen to a minimum. This allows the type of breathing you need for high performance bike riding, and is the main reason why most pros wear bibs. The Nzogen fabrication is very comfortable. The stability and durability of NzoGen makes the Diane a great short for your big event, especially something like Round Taupo or Bike the Bays.

The chamois Nzo use is a high quality womens’ chamois from CyTech, and is a 3D moulded, stretch pad fused on to a stretch knit insert attached to the shorts well away from the contact patch. The result is a real step up from most other shorts, especially at this price level. A distinctive triple thread topstitching on the seams, silicone leg gripper, reflective printing to match the Tarmac Series tops, and a reflective rear label finish the design.

A note on sizing: a lot of women will find this garment feels too big on the waist on their first try. They are supposed to feel very gentle! Check out the tension of the leg gripper and general feel of the fit before changing down a size.
