Mavic have developed the K10 wheel and tyre as an integrated package, available in a limited edition of 1,000 to mark Ksyrium’s 10th anniversary. The K10’s are the lightest ever Ksyriums, but still keep their respected strength and durability.
The wheel package includes - Ksyrium K10 wheels, skewers, limited edition Mavic K10 tyres and butyl inner tubes.
UB Control: Braking surfaces are milled to improve braking friction and eliminate shuddering
FTSL (Force Transfer System Light) Mavic hub technology improves hub strength and offers better torque transmission
Fore Drilling: Only one of the two rim walls are ‘drilled,’ which dramatically increases rim rigidity and reduces a wheel’s susceptibility to rim fatigue.
ISM3D enables the K10 to create less inertia without compromising stiffness

Mavic Ksyrium K10's
SteveMcKee, Adelaide A pair of these came with my new 2010 Cannondale Supersix. Here's my thoughts after 650kms in 6 weeks.
Tyres: Both front and rear tyres are wearing well so far and I'm currently expecting them to be good for about 3000 kms. Grip is brilliant and I feel confident throwing the bike into bends. 100% of the time I'm going much slower than the bike can handle (but most of this has to do with the Cannondale SuperSix and not so much to do with the wheels and tyres); I'm still getting to know this amazing bike and not even close to finding its limit yet! As good as these tyres are I can't see myself buying another set. It's just too hard to find them, even with internet access. There are better tyre options around for less money so that's where I'll be heading.
Wheels: 5 grams lighter than Ksyrium SL's! Depending on where you shop, SL's are usually at least $200-$300 cheaper than these wheels. That means those 5 grams have a lot to live up to. Do they justify the extra price? In my opinion, absolutely not! They are definitely a great wheel set that will not let you down and you'll totally love being on them, but they are simply not worth the money compared to Mavic's previous top-of-the-line, Ksyrium SL's. So why would someone buy them? THEY ARE A GREAT WHEELSET. They are a limited (10th anniversary) edition celebrating the impact Mavic Ksyrium's have had on cycling and the impact has been massive. They are currently the top of the line Ksyrium clincher available. The jury is still out on whether these are good-looking wheels or not. Some like the look of them and some hate them.
