ABOUT MCKINLEY TEMPERATURE RATING SYSTEM:
McKINLEY sleeping bags are rated according to three pre-defined temperature levels. These are clearly displayed on the products and the product labels.
Level 1 - Comfort*
Lower limit of the comfort range down to which a sleeping person (related to a "standard woman" with a body mass of 60kg) being completely packed into the sleeping bag and lying relaxed on the back is just not feeling cold.
Level 2- Limit
Lower limit of temperature (transition range) to which a sleeping person (related to a "standard man" with a body mass of 70kg) being completely packed into the sleeping bag with a rolled up body posture is just not feeling cold.
Level 3 - Extreme
Lower extreme temperature where there is a risk of health damage by hypothermia (related to a "standard women" with a body mass of 60kg).
