Balancing a high level of stiff pedaling efficiency with precision handling in sprints, corners or twisting descents, it’s a versatile all-rounder for everyday performance.
The Felt frame geometry on the F-series models in carbon is the same across the line. "F Geometry" features lower front ends, shorter chainstays, and longer top tubes for a more efficient, more aggressive "racing" position. Frame
At 995g, the Felt SL carbon frame is lighter than their F5 carbon series. While other brands prefer to show off the natural carbon weave, Felt place a lot of emphasis on the quality of the graphics of their carbon ’’F’’ series frames, and the design and finish is at least as good as we’ve seen from Wilier in Italy. The organic curve to the extended part of the seat-tube sets it apart from other carbon designs, With green accents and world championship stripes adding to its stealthy look. There are four sizes of this semi-compact frame available, ranging from 50-60cm.
Ride
The Felt F5-SL frame is definitely a bargain and perhaps with some light componentry and wheels a sub 8kg beast is possible and you’ll still be paying considerably less than the $3000 plus price tag an Italian branded frame would cost you - for similar levels of frame performance.
The F5-SL frame pampers the rider with a magic carpet ride that makes the bike feel lighterthan it actually is and it really is a positive characteristic. Riders who fancy pushing their limits will instantly warm to the Felt F5-SL. Once built up it will steer like a thoroughbred racing machine - the wheels staying perfectly in-line even when cranked over on surfaces that change from rough to smooth in an instant.
