Water Rating
The number indicates the level to which the fabric is tested. Polyurethane coatings enable the fabric to be water rated in a direct vertical column measurement guaranteeing that getting wet from the weather is not a factor.

Seam Sealed
The seams of a tent are the most vulnerable point for water leakage. To overcome this, seam-sealing has been custom-developed by heat-sealing tape over the seams to maintain the waterproofing rate. This results in maximum protection against the natural elements at all points of the tent.
U.V. Shield
Kiwi Camping Co. has developed in association with its supplier a revolutionary tent fabric which sets new standards for polyester. Durability is eight times higher than other nylon tents. The fabric is over 50% more water resistant than comparable tent fabrics while remaining stronger through a higher level of strength retention. This is achieved by combining Polyester, known for its amazing strength and reliability when exposed to the elements, Polyurethane which enhances the fabric with a water resistant coating, and the Super Coating, a UV Shield coating that minimises the effects of UV rays and colourfastness to a resistance level of up to 99.5%. The polyester fibre in the UV Shield minimises deterioration and fading but provides superior tensile strength.
