Good performance but fast-wearing sole  John Hawkins, ALLAMBIE HEIGHTS
These shoes are OK for off-road. Ventilation, fit, and rigidity were all fine. Liked the three straps. Longevity of the upper was quite good too, despite abuse.

The deep lugs in the sole are quite useful in muddy conditions.

However, the lugs are hard plastic coated with a thin veneer of rubber and will crumble away from the inside out with prolonged onroad use or if your trails have a lot of hike-a-bike sections over rocky terrain. If you're riding clay/loam/sandy/muddy trails or don't need to put your foot down very much then you'll get better life out of them than I did.
