The Ruby 100 is a water resistant multi function heart rate monitor and wrist-watch. The heart beat signal is transmitted via a comfortable, adjustable chest strap, and is a vital piece of training equipment for cycling, running and a miltitude of other sporting activities.
Supplied with the Ruby 100 is a handlebar mount to make viewing the monitor easier when cycling. (View Zoom image for details).

Echowell Ruby 100 Heart Rate Monitor
Gene Davidson, Macquarie Fields Seems to be excellent value for money. Occassionally gives the odd false reading - i.e. I'd be dead if I really did have a heart rate of 217! But that only stuffs up the max heart rate reading. If it only happens on the odd ocassion I'm not that worried. Has up to 6 target zones but I generally just use the one to keep me in the 70%-90% range. Got mine for on Special delivered to my door.

Echowell Ruby 100 HRM
Bill Frost, Gordon I've used this for over 12 months now and I'm pretty impressed. I use it each race day and it has an impressive range of features, although I mainly want to know current HR and max HR. It's certainly shower proof.
The main thing that has annoyed me about other models in the past is crosstalk (your signal is combined with other riders', leading to spurious results). I have not experienced this.
Recommended.

Matt Borghero, NULKABA It works and does everything described - but the instructions are poor - I have had to play and press every button combination a gazillion times to work it out. Can't fault the value though.
