Good, but single use only
BrendanHills, HEIDELBERG OK so my review comes from the perspective of having actually used it - I didn't just buy it as a "just in case".
Keeps you warm and stops the wind. As with any plastic shelter, it will become very sweaty inside - so you'll be wet from condensation. Then when you pack it up, the residual water will remove the silver coating, and next time you get it out, you'll just have a large clear plastic bag.
My recommendation: carry this if you're going somewhere where shelter is not guaranteed, but remember to replace it after you've used it once.

Thermal Blanket Review
MarcusPerry, North Shore City I bought several this product to make up an emergency kit for my family members. Each person grabs one kit and carries it on them when doing various outdoor pursuits.
My daughter has started doing back country snowboarding and this is a "just in case" item that heaven forbid, she has to spend a night out. Combined with a fire starter, stainless steel cup, a few energy bars and a first aid kit, and I worry about her, a little bit less.
The Emergency BAG is soooo much better than a mere blanket because it sheds water and wind better and that's gotta aid survival.

compact necessity for the light weight tramper
PeterHUTSON, Parklands I purchased this product for knowing the feeling that if I did get stuck out in the hills hunting I would be able to survive al least 1 night out. I also purchased it because is was a bag and not a blanket ideal for the hunter. Worth its weight in gold these are. Recommended for anyone going out in the backcountry.
