Does what it does
Mike D, MOUNT WAVERLEY Well, this was my first brake bleeding experience, and the kit worked fine. I used it on my Shimano M486, and it seems that you just use a bit of tubing without a screw-on adapter for Shimanos. Two tips for other newbies like myself - the hose is stiff, so if you open the valve and then let the hose twist, it will close it again. And try to keep the syringe vertical with the plunger up - the seal on it is not perfect and oil gets through easily if hold it upside down (oops, there goes a bottle of alcohol for cleanup). It's a tricky process the first time, but you get a hang of it easily.
