Cheap n Cheerful heartrate monitor is all good
Lorna McConnon, St Kilda For the price this heart rate monitor is great. Seeing it was so cheap I'm not expecting it to last forever but so far its working really well. Thanks Torpedo7 !

Does its job
Jamie Cunningham, Invercargill Does exactly what it says without paying the equivalent of a small country's defence budget. I don't use a wireless cycle computer so I didn't suffer from interference. Excellent value for money.

Multifunction simplicity
Sue Truman, GLEN WAVERLEY Was surprised by the simplicity of the menu. For a watch with so many functions I expected it to be a while before I could remember where to find the particular function I wanted. Haven't had long enough to comment on durability, but if this proves to be good I would definitely be buying more, especially if I can get it a the "special" price. Excellent value for money.

ALTECH 28
Rubin LEVIN, Devonport Good price on a "this weeks special". It took me forever to set it up but once done all good. A little bulky for swimming. Cycle mount is a little insecure but at the price you can risk it. Most numbers and detail easy enough to read. Rubin

Not Bad
Roger de Laborde, Melville For the price paid.
It's not as good as the Polar HRM's, but then it's nowhere near the price of the Polar ones.
It is simple to use, and does what I need it to do.
I use a different brand of wireless speedo, and have not noticed any interference between them.

great purchase
Richard Malcuit, Petrie Was looking for another HRM after I bought the echowell from T7 some time ago. This has taken a little bit to get used to but am very happy with it. A little annoying when wearing gloves as sometimes the bottom left button gets pressed so the screen changes to other than the one you want, but overall if you are looking for a simple HRM, buy this one.

excellent purchase
Shaun Probert, Launceston This watch has met my expectations - robust but not too chunky, easy to read displays, simple configuration and settings - a little cumbursome if you want to reset the stop watch with the press N hold option but otherwise a great training aid for those who want to add some science to what they are after but priced for everyone.

ATECH HRM - Excellent Value!
John H, Adelaide I've always wanted a wireless type heart rate monitor to compliment my workouts. It's easy to tell that you're pushing yourself hard when you feel your heart pumping fast and sweat pours off you, but having a tool to help quantify your level of effort is not only useful, but good fun as well.
The only real reason I didn't buy one was the price. The Polar units are renowned for their quality and usability, but the price was always a deterrent. I didn't see the point in paying such a premium for something that I knew I'd use a lot at first, but lesser and lesser as the novelty wore off.
I was put on to this unit by someone on an online forum. The price was attractive, it had the wireless chest strap do-hickey and a wrist watch type unit that not only reported your heart rate, but had a whole swag of other functions. For the money, how could I say no?
Order placed, money paid and some days later, the unit came and I was pretty eager to try it out. Pull it out of the box, moisten the contacts on the strap and put it on your chest and a push of the "mode" button on the watch and it comes to life. After entering some info about my age and weight, setting the time and heart rates, we are good to go!
Pressing the Mode button and my heart rate is displayed, it starts beeping at me, which I later discover is because my heart rate is below the min set for exercise. This is the watch's 'zone' mode. You can chose between three target exercise intensities (low med high) and tell the watch to beep at you if you drop below the min level or above the high level, or both. Pretty good little feature that i think i (and anyone who buys this for optimising their workouts) will be using a fair bit.
Scrolling through some of the other features, there's a calorie and fat burning mode. Probably a good guide for peeps who are tightly monitoring their calories. Not something i'

David Pinney, PORTARLINGTON I wanted a heart rate monitor for the bike and this looked interesting. Unpacked and started easily. Instructions easy to follow to program unit. Heart rate and average heart rate and pictorial display all on one screen.
A heap of other features...see list! Good value for money.
