Very easy to drag around airport Annette Swinnerton, West Launceston Just used bike box on it's first round trip. Box and bike survived treatment by Virgin Blue intact. Wheels and case ok, not even a scratch on the plastic casing ! Definitely worth the $ to protect a half decent bike.
I used it for my Mens x-sml scott mtbike frame. I needed to use one towel as padding and didn't use the wheel bags. I needed to rotate front forks and take off the handlebars and remove both wheels to make it fit. The wheelbags look good, but you cant lie two in the case side by side. They need to overlap because the case isnt long enough. This made the depth too deep, so I needed to deflate both tyres and remove them from the wheel bags to make the case close.
I got lots of comments at the airport, people didn't realize it was a bike box, they thought I had millions of clothes.
