Disappointing Heath Sommerville, ARMADALE
The size of these shorts was hard to match. I got the Large as that is the size in all other brands and they are a bit large for me. I am 6'1" and have a 34" waist. The chamois does not seem to be in the right place and the crotch size seems unusual. Produced some chaffing on longer rides.

Good value as usual James Lacey, Yackandandah
Padding is not amazing but well fitted and sized.

Great Value Dave H, Raumati South
Great value shorts (I got them on special). Agree with others that they can feel a bit like a nappy (don't look that way though), but at this cost who cares.
My jean size is 34, and the large fit me perfectly.
Would recommend.

Good value James J, Tas
Pretty happy with these, only my second pair of knicks though - they are way better than the Fluid knicks from Anaconda which are extremely poor quality compared to these Route 7 shorts.
The pad seems a little bit big - but it's still comfortable and does the job.
The fit is good - Large size fits perfectly, normally I'd be between a L and XL- I'm a size 36 in jeans with bulky thighs.
Silicon leg grippers do a good job.
Overall good value for money when on sale compared to other cheap knicks.

Great Value Greg Holmes, Saratoga
Despite the chamois being a little inferior to the top end products in this line, the stitch quality, fit, comfort and performance is excellent for me. This is my second pair and when the special comes up again I'll definitely purchase more.

o.k. for the price when on special jt trot, GOULBURN
Not bad as a back up pair of knicks. Bulky in the crutch and seem to gather up in the front. The material seems to have stretched with use, don't fit as well now as when new.
Poor fit Jon Whitear, Lane Cove
I bought these on special, and I'm not very happy them. I find that the chamois gathers at the front of the saddle and gives no support where needed. If I wedgy myself, it stays in place, but I don't really go the lycra hotpant look. Guess I should have got a smaller size.

OK Mike Bacchus, Miles
These are cheap shorts and OK, but the chamois is not exactly moulded as described.

Pretty Good Luke Meers, East Corrimal
The fit on these shorts feels pretty good to me. Biggest ride I've used them for was the Alpine Classic (200kms). While the but did get sore, I think it was more due to almost 9 hours in the saddle rather than a bad product. Could do with a thicker chamois section maybe. But overall I am very happy with these.

A Bit Disappointing Steven Cutts, Craigmore
Size wise they are fine. There is very little compression from the light weight material and the legs ride up as I ride. The chamois does not seem to conform to my shape or provide much support.
So far I have only used them on a couple of short rides (less than 30km) but I don't think they would hold up for anything much longer.
On the up side: I bought them on sale and only intend to use them for riding to work and back, so I should still get my money's worth out of them.

Feels alright Ian North-Coombes, CAIRNLEA
The fit is not as good as I had hoped. WHY? It still feels big in the crotch area. Most shorts fit snug on my bum and close to my crotch, but these shorts seem to protrude out a bit at both ends. Strange feeling and look to have once I get off the bike. I did find them comfortable to wear, but because of the chamois, it sometimes felt awkward.

Owner's Thoughts Andrew Priest, Churchlands
I have now worn these shorts for about 150 km and have to say that I am disappointed with them. I didn't expect top of the range knicks but did expect reasonable ones that would be okay for rides up 20 km or so. I wouldn't be keen on wearing these on rides in excess of 10 km.
I have found them to fit okay, I have the XL size is slightly tight around the legs, but my problem is the chamois which is just too narrow for my rear end. Such that I get really no support from them unless I really make an effort to get them position correctly and then I get borderline support.
