Ghost Race EBS C Road Bike 08 Dean Jackson, Ringwood
I purchased the Ghost road bike about 3 months ago and must admit a little trepidation.
Well I have to say I couldn't be happier.
Firstly, completing the set up was dead easy, basically putting in the head stem and turning the handlebars.
All the gear works really well as you would expect.
But the best thing is the handling of the bike. It is light and corners sensationally, particularly at speed down hill, which gives you a lot of confidence.
Oh and it looks great!
Second to none value as well!
As I said I couldn't be happier with it.

This is a comment for Torpedo7 and the folks at Ghost - not necessarily for other buyers who can make up their own minds I guess.
This bike rides really well, is lightweight and responsive - it is a really nice ride.
However Ghost still have a thing or 2 to learn about roadies attitudes as I recently learned the hard way. I was so happy with my new bike only to get hammered on my first ride in the Saturday group for riding a plastic bike. Harsh but fair??
It seems every available bit of frame is plastered in loud bling white lettering, so much so that I've since had to attack it with acetone to tone it down a bit.
In summary - this is a great bike to ride - just not in any group riding established brands.
Message to Ghost: tone it down a bit and try to develop a bit of style. I might have another look some time - otherwise its back down the LBS for something with a bit less cringe factor. Shame though - it really is a good ride.
